Cape Man Arrested After Passing Out at Gas Pump

Yarmouth police arrested a man they say passed out behind the wheel at a gas pump in South Yarmouth Monday morning.

A resident alerted police that a man was passed out behind the wheel of a car at the Station Avenue Mobil around 7 a.m. Monday.

Police and firefighters found Stephen M. Morin locked inside a Honda Civic with the motor running when they arrived on the scene, according to a press release. Firefighters forced their way into the car and found Morin unconscious with the vehicle still running and in drive and his foot on the brake.

Morin eventually became conscious and was taken to Falmouth Hospital. Once Morin was treated he was taken to the Yarmouth Police Department where he was arrested and charged with OUI-drugs, operating a motor vehicle on a suspended license, felony possession of heroin with intent to distribute, and possession of class E alprazolam. Morin was arraigned in Barnstable District Court this morning.

Well, at least he did not set his car on fire (see WOMAN ARRESTED FOR OUI AS CAR BURNS). I believe there is a seat being saved for him in AA. Hopefully he'll find it soon.
