Custodian Found Dead in North Falmouth School
North Falmouth Elementary is closed today after one of its custodians was found dead in the school library.
North Falmouth Elementary School was closed today after a custodian was found dead inside the school library early this morning, according to Cape and Islands District Attorney Michael O'Keefe.
The body of Cornelius Murphy, 42, of East Falmouth, who was the school's nighttime custodian, was reportedly discovered around 5:30 am by the daytime custodian, who immediately notified police.
O'Keefe said the death appeared to be from natural causes and that foul play was not suspected.
Parents of North Falmouth Elementary students were notified by telephone this morning that classes would be cancelled today.
