Falmouth Movie Theater Closes

Nickelodeon Cinemas in North Falmouth closed last Thursday due to declining revenues.

On top of declining revenues the theater was being pressured to convert it’s projectors from 35-mm to digital, according to the Falmouth Enterprise.

The Regal Entertainment Group purchased the theater in 2003, after a string of companies tried to make a go of it over the years. The building is now for sale, with an asking price of $575,000. Another theater is not an option for the space; it is being sold with a restriction prohibiting another theater.
