Fire Destroys Bourne School Bus
A fire destroyed a Bourne Public School bus Wednesday afternoon. There were students on the bus at the time of the fire, but no one was injured.
The bus caught fire just before 3 p.m. Wednesday on the Scenic Highway, according to the Cape Cod Times.
The driver told fire officials she heard a pop before the fire started.
The driver quickly pulled off to the side of the road and helped the students off the bus.
Another bus was sent to take the students home.

Thank you to the driver for taking command and keeping the children safe. Thanks to Bourne Public schools for choosing competent drivers and staff who care for our children. Praise God for you all!

No offense against the driver, but she should have STOPPED the bus immediately, and NOT kept on driving when the smoke was coming from the hood..... as I was driving by she was driving along the canal, and smoke was filling the air, then 2 minutes later, there was a huge fire..... common sense when smoke comes from the hood=STOP IMMEDIATLEY, dont keep driving.... the bus maybe couldve been saved and the lives of kids would not have been at risk......
