Julian Suso to Start as New Town Manager

Suso will report for work next week as Falmouth's new Town Manager.

After more than six months of a marked by infighting and finger-pointing, the wait is over: former Framingham Town Manager Julian Suso has formally accepted the position of Falmouth's newest Town Manager.

In September, the Board of Selectmen voted, 4-1, to hire Suso over three other finalists. Since then, Suso and the Board have been hammering out the details of his contract: $150,000 annual salary with four weeks of paid vacation, 15 sick days and three personal days each year.

Suso will report for work next week, replacing interim Town Manager Heather Harper, who has been in the job since former Town Manager Robert Whritenour resigned one year ago.

Framingham has struggled with some of the same waste water treatment issues currently confronting Falmouth, Suso has said, so he has experience with the kinds of large, expensive undertakings he called “big and bumpy projects.”
