The announced a last-minute addition to its already packed roster of vendors today. The newcomer, Cape Cod Fish Share, has a philosophy in keeping with the market's emphasis on local, sustainable food.
Patricia Gadsby, of the Farmers' Market Board, said, "The Cape Cod Fish Share will debut at the Falmouth Farmers’ Market today. Learn about this exciting sustainable local fishery, and how you can participate. You’ll be supporting local fishermen and snagging a weekly share of spanking fresh fish for your table, including varieties not commonly seen at the fishmonger. Some fish should be available to buy as well. Also at the market today: Sue Bourque will be doing another Buy Fresh Buy Local food demo featuring seasonal produce—delicious free samples while they last!"
The Farmers' Market occupies today and every Thursday, from noon until 6 p.m.
