Patti Page Dies at 85

The singer known for her song “Old Cape Cod” passed away Tuesday after suffering from a heart ailment and a lung disease.

 

Page died New Year’s Day in Encinitas, CA where she lived for several decades, according to the Huffington Post.

Page was scheduled to be honored with a lifetime achievement award at the Grammy Awards later this month.

Page helped make Cape Cod a household name with her song “Old Cape Cod”; she was also know for songs like “Tennesee Waltz” and “How Much is that Doggy in the Window”.

PATTY PROBABLY DIED AFTER HEARING THAT THE PTC'S JUST GOT EXTENDED AND THAT THE FIASCO CAPE WIND PROJECT IS STILL TRYING TO GO FOWARD , THERE IS NOT GOING TO BE ANYONE FALLING IN LOVE WITH OLD CAPE COD IF THIS RIDICULOUS PROJECT GETS THE FUNDING IT NEEDS TO PROGRESS. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THE GOOD PEOPLE OF AMERICA CAN YOU SEE HOW FOOLISH YOU ARE BEING STAND UP AND DO SOMETHING BEFORE IT IS TO LATE . DON'T YOU PEOPLE CARE ABOUT ANYTHING ANYMORE . What are your children going to think about you if you all sit back and let this happen shame on all of you do nothings.
