Representative Vieira Files Wind Energy Relief Act

Representative Vieira filed a bill this month that if passed would establish two funds for residents, businesses and towns that have been adversely affected by industrial wind turbines.

Representative David Vieira (R-Falmouth) filed the bill after various options for dealing with the town’s turbines were presented to selectmen by the Wind Turbine Options Process group, according to a press release.

If passed, the bill would establish two funds using money from the current Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust Fund. One fund would set aside $15 million for residents, businesses and towns that incurred losses such as negative health effects and property loss.

The bill calls for a second fund, called the Wind Turbine Decommissioning or Relocation Fund, that would set aside $7.5 million to help towns remove or relocate wind turbines.

“I have filed the Wind Energy Relief Act as a means to open up various options for dealing with the negative impacts of improper siting of wind turbines throughout the Commonwealth. While the situation in Falmouth was the impetus for filing the bill, the relief funds would be available to all municipalities in Massachusetts,” Vieira said in a statement.

It's heartwarming that Mr. Viera is so willing to spend the taxpayers money to support the victims of energy production! Surely he'll be filing similar bills with millions of dollars to benefit coal miners, neighbors of nuclear plants, and victims of climate change. And why stop with the energy victims? Shouldn't we compensate anyone who lives near a highway, wastewater plant, airport, fire station, etc? Bring on those state funds, David!

What is testing on unsuspecting citizens ? Wind turbine noise causes “clear and significant” damage to people’s sleep and mental health.

A Massachusetts study into the noise effects of wind turbines has been described as a ‘disgrace’ because it fails to take into account the problem of sleep deprivation and other health issues.

Stop cheering this is BAD. What I don't like about it is that it will externalizes the risk for wind farm developers by giving them an insurance policy. This will make it easier to develop more wind farms. This is bad for people who are opposed to industrial wind turbine development.

It's not tax money. The money will come from a fund that has been accumulating over the years from a renewable energy surcharges on our electric bills which was used, in part, to fund the wind turbines in the first place.

The state enticed Falmouth and other towns to do these projects with our money. In Falmouth and other places they made a mistake by underestimating the impact when they knew or should have known you can’t put wind turbines too close to where people live.

This will not encourage more failed installations. To the contrary, it will be a lesson-learned for public officials to be more careful next time.

"Blowin" taxpayer money is right up your alley (continues supporting an $11 million capital investment that doesn't live up to expectations). It's one thing to try to justify, and to condone the suffering of your neighbors. Yet, when an attempt is made to correct a mistake (realizing some don't think it is) for the good of the 'fractured' community in Falmouth, Blowin has the gall to cynically, and unapologetically, disavowed the WELL INDENDED (& needed) legislative petition? Let's review the "Beatitudes" shall we? If not religious, let me offer the following words from the Inaugural Address of President Thomas Jefferson:

"All, too, will bear in mind this sacred principle, that though the will of the majority is in all cases to prevail, that will to be rightful must be reasonable; that the minority possess their equal rights, which equal law must protect, and to violate would be oppression. Let us, then, fellow-citizens, unite with one heart and one mind. Let us restore to social intercourse that harmony and affection without which liberty and even life itself are but dreary things." This bedrock principle of our system of government, and of any Rule of Law, aptly articulates the intention and conviction of Representative David T. Vieira!!!

The logic of the turbine builders and their supporters goes something like this; we (the world) are going to lose so many species because of climate change that the destruction from our turbines and infrastructure is the lesser of two evils. We should be able to kill off bird populations across the world because it is really in our best interests. According to them they have taken a higher road that will lead to our salvation.

What complete nonsense. This all in their best interests. If one buys into this twisted logic then why should we have any wildlife protection laws, wildlife agencies or conservation groups? According to them most of these species are going to die off anyway. This same logic is being used to ruin communities with turbines and let these cons run off with profits. Or maybe we take it even further and use this logic to start killing whom ever we want, after all people are going to die anyway.

Climate change may alter bird life in places but these turbines will absolutely slaughter off many rare protected species to extinction. It is already happening. Climate Change also means shifting precipitation patterns and changing ecosystems. Birds can fly and adapt, but not if they are killed off by turbines. And what about biodiversity and the important role birds play in our world? Where are the voices of reason? Where are the studies that will expose the hell we will have to pay for a turbine infested world? cont'd...........

cont'd..........First and foremost in this climate change debate everybody has to keep in mind the character of those behind this green madness. They receive incredible profits and have their own tailored "credits" from taxpayers. These carbon credits and production tax credits are actually diverted funds or stolen tax dollars that could be used for real solutions. Why is all this supposed to be OK? Then we have these same people that believe it is perfectly fine to rig science (universities), rig conservation groups and rig politicians with their donations. The we have all of their Wind studies that are routinely rigged for a desired outcome. Even Government agencies are rigged so these fine people get their free passes for their avian genocide, and of course they rig the media to keep meaningful stories away from the ignorant masses.

Recently we got to see another trick from their playbook, the parading of ignorant celebrities (Derek Jeter) in front of us from the World Economic Forum as their guest. All so they can muster support for their damn turbines and endear themselves to taxpayers.

Folks, this is what is going on. Wake up. It is 100% complete insanity. It is even more insane that anyone would ever BELIEVE A WORD from these people because the foundation laid by this industry was built with lies.

Ask them about the compromises they made at Altamont where some 2500 golden eagles have been killed. Ask them why they do not say a negative word about wind turbines when for years up to about 1999, they did. Ask these groups about the mitigation money they get from wind projects. Ask them about wind the industry's hidden genocide and their routine use of bogus studies and mortality searches. The Falmouth Wind Turbine Experiment another Project MK-ULTRA ?

Public Officials publicly recognize the physical illnesses and emotional suffering caused by operating wind turbines, and they facilitate harm to humans by their silence or actions related to this human experiment.

Torture is the systematic and deliberate infliction of acute pain by one person on another, or on a third person, in order to accomplish the purpose of the former against the will of the latter.

In 1986, the World Health Organization working group introduced the concept of organized violence, which was defined as: The inter-human infliction of significant, avoidable pain and suffering by an organized group according to a declared or implied strategy and/or system of ideas and attitudes.

The Falmouth wind turbines are a violent action that is unacceptable by general human standards, and relates to the victims’ feelings. This falls under the heading of organized violence.

CLF Ventures is a non-profit affiliate of Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) that works in collaboration with public and private organizations to advance sustainable innovation and bring about positive environmental change.

The problem is the environment belongs to everyone not just non profit organizations. The people of Massachusetts have to ask how the State of Massachusetts came up with the Model Wind Turbine By Laws for cities and towns to site commercial wind turbines in your back yard . Once you understand how the Model By Laws were designed you get the big picture of the state goal of 2000 megawatts of renewable electricity by 2020.

The bottom line "you have to break a few eggs to make the omelette". The eggs are you and I the average Jill and Joe and your family. Whose family will be the next broken eggs ?

Wiping out Eagles and other species is not hysteria. The wind industry covering it up is fraud. In a week or so an article is coming that will explain very clearly how the mortality studies conducted Wolfe Island deliberately missed most of the fatalities.
But even though the numbers of hawks, owls, and other birds reported killed was very alarming, the real numbers are actually many times greater. This article will be very important to readers because what happened at Wolfe Island is universal with the wind industry.

The Nissenbaum study, released October 2012, indicates that adverse event reports of sleep disturbance and ill health by those living close to IWTs are supported. The study has not been refuted and is not refutable by prior studies.
It contradicts the MASS state report on wind turbines and health, which concluded that wind turbines aren’t a health hazard. That report contradicts itself, because it acknowledges that if noise generated by the turbine caused sleep disturbances, that could, in turn, impact a person’s health. (smoke & mirrors)
As for the link ~Blowin~ obnoxiously continues to cite, to suggest, without supporting evidence, that people are suffering ill affects from industrial wind turbines because they don’t like them or because of hysteria, when there are known plausible mechanisms for why people may get sick through excessive exposure to wind turbines, is 'public health' malpractice! This Simon Chapman fellow is a QUACK.

Mr. Cool likes to present the Nissenbaum study as being some (desperately needed) credible science to support his anti-wind hobby. But he neglects to mention that all three authors are biased. Nissenbaum and Hanning both serve on the BOARD OF DIRECTORS of the Society for Wind Vigilance.
The third author, Aramini, is a scientific advisor to the same anti-wind society.
http://www.windvigilance.com/home/advisory-group
Read what a Canadian judge wrote about Nissenbaum:
"The judge dismissed the notion that Dr. Nissenbaum could provide an unbiased opinion on wind farms.“A review of his affidavit No. 2 especially shows that he does not take an objective approach to the issues at hand,” the judge wrote."

Blowin’s information is incorrect and is proven to be misleading.

The study I've cited concluded that wind turbines located in close proximity to residences can pose a health risk. Wind turbine proponents like Blowin, fired back, and produced a Canadian court case that questioned Nissenbaum’s claims. These proponents, as well as Blowin, contend that Nissenbaum’s study was dismissed (debunked), when, in truth, the court case and the study WERE NOT EVEN LINKED.

The court case, dated October 2010, involved an injunction to stop construction of an industrial wind turbine farm. The judge ruled against the injunction and Nissenbaum’s contention that wind turbines should be at least 2,000 meters (more than 6,000 feet) from homes. Nissenbaum based that opinion, he said, on a PRELIMINARY STUDY he’d conducted that revealed that people living within 1,400 meters of a wind turbine were suffering ill affects.

But this was not the study released last year (the one I cited), which was peer reviewed and published.

The urls above show the two Vestas V 82 wind turbines had setback issues in other towns in Massachusetts before Falmouth .The MTC the owners stuck with the turbines were well aware of setback issues and only offered information to the Town of Falmouth that would sell the politically embarrassing turbine !

The noise study done and paid for by the MTC designates the homes by streets that would be affected !

The MTC advanced one milion in RECs renewable energy credits . Falmouth was the last and only hope the MTC had of unloading the turbines that were manufactured in 2004 . No one in New England wanted the two turbines . The turbines had even been offered to Portsmouth ,Rhode Island after Fairhaven residents went to court to stop them because of set back issues .

Read the urls ! NO ONE WANTED THE TURBINES - FALMOUTH MADE A MISTAKE BASED ON THE REPORTS AND STUDIES DONE FOR FALMOUTH BY THE SEMI QUASI STATE AGENCY !

THE MTC SHOULD TAKE THEM DOWN !

Bird Deaths From Wind Turbines
Jim , I did some quick research on bird deaths from commercial wind turbines. Here's what I found: bird death mitigation actually means the amount of money a commercial wind turbine contractor has to pay someone to kill birds. M & M , Mitigation equals Money.

The mitigation fee to exterminate Roseate Terns are $780,000.00. Bird Island and Ram Island in Buzzards Bay are the chief nesting islands for all the Roseate Terns in North America. A $780,000.00 mitigation fee will or has been paid to upgrade Bird and Ram Islands to help the Roseate Terns.

I read a report that says one ocean wind project will kill around 360 birds per year. The report also makes reference to the birds going around the wind turbine project. The report as usual leaves out what happens to the coastal birds that make the choice to fly out to sea around the ocean wind turbines. If they leave out information from reports it's always negative information .

I'm more knowledgeable on the Energy Issue, for which Wind is probably the biggest waste of Energy Dollars in the history of human civilization. An incredibly stupid source of Energy. Everyone in the Northeast and on up into Ontario needs to pay very close attention to what I am about to disclose. For me it is the single biggest reason for a moratorium on wind projects in Vermont as well as the rest of North America. In my opinion the millions of bird deaths that have been deliberately under reported by the wind industry is criminal and here is something else that is just as sinister.

The industry has been sitting on a bird safe wind turbine design that produces far more energy. They have kept their mouths shut about it so they could keep on selling their eagle killing turbines to America.

Here is their reasoning. This planned obsolescence keeps the profits rolling in and stimulates demand by encouraging purchasers to buy sooner if they still want a functioning product. In this case it is the ignorant saps that are still putting in 25 year bird killing projects. This postponement is why we still have dead eagles 28 years later. Anyone that wants to present this information to Legislators can contact me for more information. What I have said is true and I can prove it.

Readers do your best to pass this message along to others.

Cape Wind is actually a small ocean wind farm with 130 commercial wind turbines. The much larger site is the ocean south of Marthas Vineyard to Rhode Island . This site is in 3000 square miles of prime fishing grounds . I believe NOAA put the fishing industry out of business with catch limits in order to build over one thousand wind turbines. The fishing people think the first time a boat pulls up an electric cable Homeland Security will declare the entire area off limits.

The area of the 3000 square miles of wind turbines is in the main migratory route of all the birds from north to south every year.

The public has no knowledge of what is going to happen to the bird population of North America because of the failure of the liberal press to report the truth and the political contributions to our politicians .

Mitigation money keeps everyone quiet.

Here is a little more about cats from decades of observations in the field; cats in remote locations are eaten and killed by the native species. A feral cat's diet is in no way a threat or problem with many specialized species like shrikes, eagles and hawks, owls, falcons, cranes, seabirds and so on. With bobcats, coyotes, Mt lions, and eagles around cats do not have a chance. In all my years with many thousands of hours of wilderness observations in remote locations, I have never seen one feral cat, EVER. But I have seen plenty of these cat killers and cats that wander too far from the safety of communities disappear. Not only can these species easily kill a cat, they can out-compete them with their survival skills.
The primary bird problem with cats is in their association with people. Feral cats depend on people and communities. This is where they find their food and shelter away from these other species.
So let's just finish by putting this into proper perspective, the turbine vs. cat debate was all created from behind a desk for the purpose of hiding a terrible mortality problem associated with wind energy. It is the wind turbines that are slaughtering every indigenous bird species in their remote locations, not feral cats.

The avoidance of meaningful studies, rigging of methodology, and bombardment of propaganda in the media has always been in the industry's playbook. This fraud has been going on for over 25 years.
