Wings for Falmouth Families Welcomes New Board Members

The organization said goodbye to outgoing board members and welcomed several new members.

Wings For Falmouth Families thanked outgoing board members Ruth Augusta, Russ Pelletier and Maura Aldrich at Dr. and Mrs. Litterer’s home, for which Mrs. Stephanie Litterer is a current board member of the Wings organization. Also in attendance were founders Lisa and Eric Asendorf, along with founding Board members Mark LiCalsi and Harry Turner.

The evening also welcomed new Board Members Mrs. Margaret Abisla, Ms. Erin Denmark and Mrs. Debra Levy. The new members are a welcome addition to President Todd Bidwell, Vice President Scott Muma, Treasurer Mark Petersen, Secretary/Clerk Jessica Culley-Kozens and Board Members Stephanie Litterer, Joanne Bayles and Donna Noonan.

Ruth Augusta has been on the board since 2007, and has been fundamental on the Family Aid Committee, in which she and other aid committee members meet with families one on one to discuss their needs and guide them through the process. Ms. Augusta has fine tuned the aid process and application that will enable Wings for Falmouth to help many families in the future. She created the Annual Wings for Falmouth Comedy Night, which has raised thousands of dollars for the organization.

Todd Bidwell, President, thanked Ruth for “her strategic thinking and affection for Wings For Falmouth Families has helped greatly shape and move forward the future of this organization.”

Russ Pelletier, one of the original founding board members, has played a vital role from the beginning; as Russ was the first elected president to the board when the organization’s leadership transitioned from Founder and President. It was through that dedication and trust in Wings and its mission that Russ led the organization on its next chapter of strategic growth and financial stewardship.

“Russ has served as Director, Treasurer and President and has championed the efforts of Wings For Falmouth Families with pride, diligence and humor," says Todd Bidwell.

Maura Aldrich, who has served on the board since 2008, was honored for her energy and zeal to manage numerous projects and responsibilities and accomplish them with passion and professionalism. She has served as Secretary of the Board and as Event Co-Chair for the Wings For Falmouth Families Golf Tournament and the Annual “Fall Ball’ events.

Wings for Falmouth Families is a community-based, 501(c)(3) established in 2003 by Lisa and Eric Asendorf. While medical costs may be covered by insurance, spousal loss of work, childcare and housing expenses, to name a few, add up to an enormous burden.

Wings for Falmouth Families has helped dozens of Families and donated over $100,000 to date. Wings for Falmouth Families is run solely by the Board of Directors, which is entirely volunteer, thereby incurring no salary expenses.  For more information please visit WingsForFalmouth.org or call (508) 548-4800.
