An Evening of Radio Storytelling in Woods Hole
Woods Hole Community Hall, 68 Water St, Falmouth, MA | Get Directions »

Atlantic Public Media will present a free public listening event to celebrate the creation of new audio work by students at the Transom Story Workshop. It will be held from 7 – 10 pm on Thursday, November 29th at the Community Hall, 68 Water Street, in Woods Hole, Massachusetts.
The event is sponsored by Atlantic Public Media, the local non-profit organization that founded our public radio station, WCAI, and created the Peabody Award-winning public media website Transom.org, a showcase and workshop for new public media.
Executive Director Jay Allison said, “Once again, the Transom students have uncovered stunning stories in our communities, and have acquired the skills to tell them beautifully. I hope you can make the time to come listen to these revealing portraits of life on the Cape, Coast and Islands. It will be worth it.”
Since early October, nine beginning radio students have been living in Woods Hole learning the craft of telling stories with sound. The students range in age from their twenties to late-fifties, and hale from the United States, Canada, and Australia. The stories they’ve produced focus on our local area, and we anticipate that some of the people they’ve profiled or talked with will be in the audience. A question and answer period will follow each piece.
