Cats, Dogs, Shopping, Bowling and Soccer

1. Shop locally and support Falmouth artists: You can find locally-made gifts and artworks at the Falmouth Art Center at 137 Gifford St., Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

2. Attention cat people: People For Cats posts on Facebook: “Want to order your memorial brick ? you still can, either come to the shelter to fill our your form or go to our peopleforcats.org website and click on the highlighted "memorial brick" words on the right side of the page."

3. Callout for dog lovers: Falmouth Dog Park posts on Facebook: “Our Annual Appeal is underway, and we have started on our way to meet our goal of $5,000 in donations. Being a park entirely funded by donations, we depend on your support to fund our annual expenses. Maintaining the park costs about $5,000 each year for insurance, stone replenishment, mutt mitts, etc. If you have given this year, thank you! If you haven't, please consider a gift in any amount. You can find more info on http://falmouthdogpark.com.”

4. Let's go bowling: Wednesday is Bowl for a Buck night at Ryan Family Amusements, 23 Town Hall Square, Falmouth: From 8 p.m. to-11 p.m., pay just $1 per game plus $3 shoe rental.

5. Kick it around: Are you a soccer player over the age of 40? "The Vineyard Football Club over 40s soccer team competes in Masters Division 4 of the New England Over The Hill Soccer League and is looking to add selected new players from the Falmouth area. VFC home games are played in Vineyard Haven and away games are played in the Boston Metro South area on Sunday Mornings. If you have experience playing competitive soccer, are fit and available to travel to 10 games in spring and fall season, we are interested in speaking with you," writes player/manager Neal A.
