Deck the Halls, Avoid the Road Closures and Give Us a Piece of Your Mind

Five things to know and do in Falmouth today. Got something happening? Post it on Patch!

  1. The Annual Poinsettia and Holiday Greenery Sale is on with members of the Falmouth High School Band selling poinsettias and holiday greenery for as little as $10 through December 2 with delivery by December 7th, just in time for the Christmas Parade. To place orders, contact a FHS Band student, call Christine Lanoue at 508-930-6777 or email falmouthbandparents@gmail.com
  2. What's the deal with road closures on Great Bay Street? It's complicated: Here are all the details from Town Hall.
  3. Falmouth Volunteers in Public Schools (VIPs) need your help if you'd like to volunteer for Junior Achievement classroom programs teaching financial literacy and other business skills. If you, or someone you know, is interested in volunteering for Junior Achievement– even for one class– please contact VIPS by calling (508) 548-1621 or sending email to vips@falmouth.k12.ma.us. The program runs all year long, so interested volunteers can state preferences for time of year, grade, school, or teacher. To learn more about JA, visit:www.janewengland.org.
  4. The Falmouth Hospital Thrift Shop on the corner of Palmer Avenue and Ter Heun Drive needs volunteers to do a variety of retail-related tasks, such as ringing in sales, stocking shelves, sorting and pricing donations, and shop upkeep. To find out more, contact Susan Hanley, Director of Volunteer Services for Falmouth Hospital, at 508-457-3521 or by email to shanley@capecodhealth.org.
