Falmouth Eats Together; Wind Ensemble Performs; Computer Classes Offered

Five things to do and know in Falmouth this Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014.

1. The Falmouth Service Center posts on Facebook: "If your New Year's resolutions included 'Finally attend one of the Falmouth Eats Together meals I have been hearing so much about...' then you are in luck!! The first community meal of 2014 is this Thursday from 4 - 6 p.m. at John Wesley United Methodist Church in Falmouth. Start your year off right!"

2. The Falmouth High School Wind Ensemble holds its Winter Concert at 7 p.m. at FHS. For a taste of what the evening has in store, check out the jazzy video above, from the Falmouth Band Parents Association Facebook page (which doesn't specify a ticket price).

3. In other local music news, the Battle of the Bands Continues at the Beach house ion North Falmouth, Thursdays from 9 p.m. with the finals Feb. 6.

4. The Falmouth Public Library posts on Facebook: "We are delighted to tell you that the Falmouth Community School, Winter 2014 Course Schedule is now available! Please let your computer phobic neighbors know that they are offering a number of computer classes this semester. We have paper copies, and you can also read the schedule online at www.falmouth.k12.ma.us/pages/Falmouth_Public_Schools/Community/Night_School."
