Falmouth Meeting Roundup: Energy Committee, Library Trustees, Planning Board to Meet

A roundup of five things to know in Falmouth for Tuesday, Aug. 13.

1. Meetings today: The Falmouth Economic Development Industrial Corporation will meet at 9 a.m. in the Falmouth Chamber of Commerce. The Falmouth Energy Committee will meet at 9 a.m. in the CPC Conference Room at Falmouth Town Hall. The Library Trustees will meet at 6:45 p.m. at the Falmouth Main Library. The Falmouth Planning Board will meet at 7 p.m. in the Selectmen's Meeting Room at Falmouth Town Hall. 

2. Service for the popular CapeFLYER train service that runs from Boston to Cape Cod has been extended through Columbus Day, officials announced Monday. 

3. Author BJ Atwood-Fukuda will be featured at a reading at the Woods Hole Public Library on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.

4. The third annual David's Old Silver Swim will take place at Old Silver Beach in North Falmouth on Saturday, Aug. 17. The open water half-mile or one-mile swim is a fun swim with all proceeds going to Compassionate Care ALS. To learn more, visit www.davidsoldsilverswim.com

5.
