Farmers Market Updates: Dog Treats, New Hours, Special Events

Where did the farmers markets go? When is the Chamber raffle? Five things to know and do in Falmouth this Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013.

1. The Falmouth Chamber of Commerce holds its 10K Raffle and Cocktail Party Thursday from 5:30 p.m. till closing at the Coonamessett Inn. Live music, dancing, "heavy hors d'oeuvres." $30-$100: (508) 548- 8500.
2. You won't find the Falmouth Farmers Market in Peg Noonan Park till 2014, but the group is still active in the off-season. This week, the FFM recommends "A Place at the Table," a Free Film Screening and Community Discussion Thursday at 6:15 p.m. at the Falmouth Jewish Congregation, 7 Hatchville Road, East Falmouth.
3. The Organic Farmers' Market and Artisans' Fair at Cape Cod Fairgrounds has moved from Tuesdays to Sundays from noon to 3 p.m., October 20 - December 15, 2013, rain or shine.
4. Starting this Sunday, a new vendor joins the market: Ruff Rescue Bakery with its organic dog treats. Dogs welcome.
