1. A rubbish reminder from the town of Falmouth:
  • "Friday = Thursday’s route picked up (this is their normal collection day in a holiday week).
  • Saturday = Friday’s route picked up (this is their normal collection day in a holiday week).
  • Wednesday’s route will not be collected this week and will be deferred to their next regular day which is next Wednesday, 1/29/14."

2. For this week's Peanut Butter Club, the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution presents the video “Triangle Fire” on Friday at noon in Redfield Auditorium: "It was the deadliest workplace accident in New York City's history. A dropped match on the 8th floor of the Triangle Shirtwaist Factory sparked a fire that killed over a hundred innocent people trapped inside. The private industry of the American factory would never be the same. Sponsored by the WHOI Information Office. Coffee, tea, and cookies served. Donations accepted."

3. The Shananagans play Liam Maguire's Irish Pub starting at 8:30 p.m. Admission is free.
