Trivia Night in Woods Hole, Bowl for a Buck in Falmouth

Five fun things to do in Falmouth this Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013.

1. Book 'em: The Friends of the Falmouth Pubic Library 2013 Holiday Book Sale is the place to find great gifts for everyone on your shopping list: There is a huge assortment of almost-new and previously owned books for just about everyone from children to adults, including fiction, non-fiction, biographies, history, science, nature, the arts, and holiday themes — All bargain priced and waiting to be read. Today from 1:30 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.  

2. Say What? Wednesday is Trivia Night with Stump! Trivia at the Fishmonger, 56 Water St. in Woods Hole: 7 p.m., no cover charge.

3. Bowling night: Wednesday is also Bowl for a Buck night at Ryan Family Amusements, 23 Town Hall Square, Falmouth: From 8 p.m. to-11 p.m., pay just $1 per game plus $3 shoe rental.

4. Artful Shopping: You can find locally-made gifts and artworks at the Falmouth Art Center at 137 Gifford St., Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

5. Love Dogs? Falmouth Dog Park posts on Facebook: “Our Annual Appeal is underway, and we have started on our way to meet our goal of $5,000 in donations. Being a park entirely funded by donations, we depend on your support to fund our annual expenses. Maintaining the park costs about $5,000 each year for insurance, stone replenishment, mutt mitts, etc. If you have given this year, thank you! If you haven't, please consider a gift in any amount.
