Warmer Today: Here's What's Happening

Five things to do and know in the Falmouth area this Wednesday, Nov. 6, 2013. For more things to do in Falmouth every day of the week, take a look at our Events listings, our daily tips in Today in Falmouth and our lively Weekender section.

  1. November is giving us a break today and tomorrow with temperatures expected to near 58 degrees at their height, according to the National Weather Service, which forecasts the likelihood of showers on an even warmer (61 degrees) Thursday.
  2. Portraits of Falmouth Korean War Veterans, artwork completed by Falmouth High School Advanced Studio Art students commemorating the 60th anniversary of the war's end, are on display at the Education Center at Falmouth Museums on the Green. Call 508-548-4857 for viewing hours; opening reception Thursday at 4 p.m. 65 Palmer Avenue, 
    Falmouth. Free.
  3. Preschool Storytime at the North Falmouth Library includes stories and a craft from 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 p.m. 6 Chester St, North Falmouth, 508-563-2922. Free. 
  4. There is no more Wednesday public skating at the Falmouth Ice Arena,  which began a new public skating schedule Tuesday.
  5. Every Wednesday is $5 Pizza Night @ The Beach House Restaurant with Live Music from 6-9pm.
