Get Out Weekend Planner April 15 - 17

Our Get Out Weekend Planner column consists of five events to help you prepare for those long-awaited days off! Please be sure to add your own suggestions to our comment box.

Bird and Nature Walk: The 300 Committee is hosting a Bird and Nature Walk at the Peterson Farm, 109 McClellan Drive, on Saturday from 9:30-11 am. This is a great birding spot, so bring your binoculars! For details please call Molly Cornell at 508-540-7652.

“Cross-Atlantic Ties: Poetry from Both Sides”  The and Calliope Poetry Readings will present a poetry reading event on Saturday at 1 pm.  The program will feature Daniel Tobin, who will read from "Belated Heavens," and Geraldine Mills and Lisa C. Live Animals Story Time:  in Sandwich features Live Animal Story Time on Saturdays at 10:30 am.  A naturalist will read aloud a Peter Rabbit tale and then there will be a meet and greet with a live animal friend from the story.

Model Boat Show: The will be holding its 8th Biennial Model Boat Show on Saturday from 9 am-4 pm and Sunday from 9 am to 3 pm. Boat lovers of all ages will love this collection of 150 incredible model boats! Price: $12 Adults / $5 Children 6+ / $25 Families

Falmouth’s Annual Spring Litter Clean-up: The is holding its annual Spring Litter Clean-Up from April 16 through April 23, and they are seeking volunteers to help tidy up their neighborhoods! If you would like to join in this worthwhile effort, please click for more information.
