New CapeFlyer Train Gains Popularity

The CapeFlyer train seems to be catching on, according to a Boston Globe report.

Since the service between Boston and Hyannis began on Memorial Day weekend, nearly 9,000 passengers have taken the new train.

Revenue from ticket sales have covered the $165,000 annual operation cost, and service may be extended until Columbus Day.

Part of the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority, the double-decker travels between Boston and Hyannis once a day each way on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays for $35 round trip.
