UPDATED: Snow Returns to Cape

An estimated two to four inches of new snow is expected to fall in the latest storm, according to the National Weather Service, which has updated its winter weather advisory for Barnstable County.

Updated Wednesday, 5:30 a.m.: The National Weather Service has adjusted its snowfall prediction for Barnstable County to two to four inches by 1 p.m.

Earlier:
The National Weather Service has issued a winter weather advisory for Martha's Vineyard and Cape Cod, in effect from 9 p.m. Tuesday to 1 p.m. Wednesday.

An estimated three to five inches of new snow is expected to fall overnight and Wednesday morning, according to the NWS, which issues a winter weather advisory when snow or ice is predicted, but accumulations are expected to be light.
