N. Falmouth Man Sues Michael Jackson's Estate, Paul Anka for $10 Million
The Boston Herald reports that Michael Jonzun told a judge he was partly responsible for writing the song "This is It," which is credited to Michael Jackson and Paul Anka. He wants a share of the songwriter royalties.
A formerly Boston-based music producer who now lives in North Falmouth is in the news this week for a $10 million lawsuit he has reportedly filed against the estate of pop icon Michael Jackson and the living singer-songwriter Paul Anka.
The Boston Herald reports that Michael Jonzun told a federal judge Monday that he was partly responsible for writing the song "This is It," which is credited to Jackson and Anka. Jonzun argues that he should receive a portion of the songwriter royalties that accrue whenever the song is licensed, sold or played in public.
