Woods Hole Band Releases New Album
The popular Wood's Hole band Brother's Rye will release its first studio EP next week.

The Woods Hole-based Americana band Brother’s Rye will host an album releaseparty for its debut studio EP, The Down Low, on Friday, April 19 at Grumpy’s Pub,29 Locust Street, Falmouth. Doors open at 9:30 PM.
The six-track album features original songs penned by singer-songwriterBenjamin Lee Paterson, who also plays guitar, banjo and kazoo. Brother’s Ryemembers Ben Riva (fiddle), Chris “Topher” Maffei (percussion, vocals) and JoshDayton (upright bass) round out the album’s country/bluegrass/jugband sound.

Recorded in Paterson’s home studio, the disc was mixed by Jared Mooney atDirty Water Sound Studios in Charlestown, MA and mastered by Toby Mountainat Northeastern Digital in Southborough, MA. The album is available on CD Babyfor $10 and also at live shows for a minimum donation of $5.
The single “Start It Up Again” is an anthem to seasonal rites of passage,featuring 2013 International Bluegrass Music Award winner Jenni Lyn Gardner onmandolin, as well as bluegrass veterans Stephen P. Dayton on dobro and GayleDayton on backup vocals.
