People for Cats: Adopt Stormy

Stormy got her name after being rescued during a storm, now she is ready to find a new home.

Stormy had a rough time in the first few weeks of her life, but she has come a long way and is ready to be adopted now.

When only a few weeks old, Stormy was attacked by a bird of prey and was lucky to survive. As a result of this experience, Stormy was fearful and shy.

Two of our volunteers have fostered this little tuxedo girl during the months of recovery from her injuries. She is still a shy girl but she is sweet and enjoys attention when she gets to know someone.

She is comfortable with other cats but she also likes to be around her people when they are doing chores around the house. Sitting nearby, Stormy supervises their progress and listens as they talk to her.

Stormy loves to play with a friendly, male cat in her foster home so we think she would do best with another playful male in her new family. She is partial to gray toy mice - white ones do not interest her - and she loves to chase and be chased by her friend.

This special kitten will need a home that provides stability and allows her to feel safe.

Stormy is well worth the effort and will repay it with her trust and companionship. To meet this youngster, leave a message for Anne or Jean on our hotline.

Our shelter is located at 44 Beagle Lane in Teaticket. Adoption hours are 4 to 6 p.m. on Wednesdays, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays, or call for an appointment.
