Commercial wind turbines automatically shut down at speeds over 40 mph.The majority of turbines are all at least three years old on the Cape. Let's keep an eye out for more breakdowns in the three year old turbines . Falmouth Wind I is already broken down and the Otis ANG base turbine built in 2009 has issues . These turbines can't take the weather here on Cape Cod .
