Opening for the Season

Coonamessett Farm will open for the season at 9 AM on Friday, May 3. The family-owned and member-supported diversified farm, one of the few farms in the area, will open its grocery store, gift shop, café and pavilion to the public free of charge. Day passes for exploration and picking are $8. The farm and store will be open from 9 AM to 5 PM daily throughout the summer, staying open longer on buffet and CSA pick-up days. The farm will be open for seasonal hours during the fall and until December 24.  Members and day-pass holders may enter the 20-acre farm to explore the grounds and green houses, pick produce (and pay by the pound), and visit the animals. Annual memberships start at $60. Members enter the farm as often as they like during open hours and receive email updates about farm news and events. Members may also rent facilities for events and may join CSAs (buying clubs with weekly pick ups for produce or for cheese or meat).  The farm's animals include alpacas, goats, sheep, donkeys, chickens and ducks.
