Fairwinds Clubhouse Shining Sea Walk

The 5th Annual Shining Sea Walk to raise awareness about psychological disabilities on Cape Cod and support the rehabilitation services provided by Fairwinds Clubhouse will step off from Peg Noonan Park on Main Street at 10:00 AM on Saturday, October 5. Registration begins at 9:30. The 4-mile scenic course goes down Shore Street, follows the coastline along Surf Drive to the Bike Path, and proceeds up to Locust Street. From there walkers will go up West Main Street past the Village Green and continue back to Peg Noonan Park. Individuals and families are welcome to participate in this friendly, non-competitive event. Water will be provided along the route.

There is no registration fee required, but donations to support Clubhouse programs are appreciated. Walkers who are able to raise money or make donations will be eligible to receive the 2013 Shining Sea T-Shirt on a first-come, first-served basis.

Local business sponsors of the event include Carpet Barn, Coonamessett Inn, Hartel Realty, Howlingbird Studio, John's Liquor Store, Liam Maguires Irish Pub, Rhino Linings of Cape Cod, Stone L'Oven Pizza Company, W. Clark Trust and Wood Lumber Company.

All are welcome to come out and walk, or just cheer the walkers on! More information is available at 508-540-6011; ask for Debbie or Ginger.
