The next, and last, in the Woods Hole Public Library’s
winter series of Films for Grown Ups will be held on Monday evening March 10,
starting at 7 PM. All the films in the series have been recently released
feature films, so mainstream that they come with strictures on what is allowed
as publicity. As people who have been attending to these films realize, the
Library is not allowed to name either the title or the actors or the producers
in public announcements. Instead, the Library has taken to offering clues for
the public to solve. Anyone who is unsure of the identity of the film is
welcome to phone the Library and ask; the Librarian is allowed to answer with
the exact title in response to a direct question.

This film was just released in October 2013, runs 91
minutes, and has two actors who have become favorites, especially of the
just-retired population. Among other starring roles, the female lead starred in
“While You Were Sleeping”; the male lead starred in “Oceans Eleven”, and more
recently, “The Descendants”.

The Library film is officially listed as science fiction,
and features an accident on a space shuttle which leaves these two people
adrift in space.  It has been rated PG13
for “intense perilous sequences, some disturbing images and brief strong
language.”
