Noontunes Summer Concert: Joseph Arndt, organist

Please join us for the last concert of our 2013 Noontunes Summer Concert Series on Wednesday, August 28th at 12:15pm at the Church of the Messiah, 22 Church Street, Woods Hole. Organist Joseph Arndt, will present a 45-minute lunchtime program of early organ works by composers including Bach and Bruhns. Free-will offering. Mr. Arndt is the Director of Music at Grace Church (Episcopal) in Newark. At Grace Church he directs a music program grounded in the Anglo-Catholic tradition, including a paid parish choir of 8 singers (focusing on Renaissance polyphony and Gregorian Chant), a volunteer men's choir, a concert series, and a chorister program for children in grades 3 to 8. Mr. Arndt received his Master of Music degree from The Juilliard School and his Bachelor of Music degree from Westminster Choir College, having studied organ with Diane Belcher, Ken Cowan, and Paul Jacobs. He is a continuo player on the Bach Vespers series at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in New York City. He serves on the executive board of the Metropolitan New Jersey Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
