Noontunes Summer Concert: Katie Lynch Koglin, harp

Join us on July 23rd at 12:15pm at the Church of the Messiah in Woods Hole for the third concert of our 2014 Noontunes Summer Concert Series, featuring harpist Katie Lynch Koglin. The concert will take place in the stone church, which is located at 22 Church Street, Woods Hole. There is a free-will offering.

Katie Lynch Koglin, a local harpist, vocalist and actor, received her Bachelors and Masters of Music in harp performance and music education from The Boston Conservatory.  This past April she presented "The Harp of Rodgers and Hammerstein: A 100th Birthday Celebration" at Cotuit Center for the Arts, and has also provided concerts at the Cape Cod Museum of Art and Highfield Hall.  Ms. Koglin's been the harpist for the College Light Opera Company since 1994 and is currently the harpist for the New Bedford Symphony.  She was a concerto soloist with Simon Sinfonietta and has also played with the Metrowest, Longwood and Cape Cod Symphonies, Boston Opera Collaborative, Falmouth Chorale, Mastersingers by the Sea and many other theater and choral groups.  Katie frequently provides music for weddings and holiday events and is a cantor at Our Lady of the Assumption in Osterville and a soloist at the Hyannis Christian Science Church.  On stage she was most recently seen as the Beggar Woman in Sweeney Todd with Falmouth Theatre Guild and has also been seen at Cotuit Center for the Arts and Barnstable Comedy Club.  Katie music directs for the Blue Falcon Theatre Company of Mashpee High School for their spring musical, and resides in Cotuit with her husband, tenor, Steven Koglin and their year and half old daughter.
