What's Open, Closed on New Year's in Falmouth?

Many Falmouth businesses are closed Jan. 1, but supermarkets are open, liquor can be sold and you can even go bowling.

Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014:


Municipal, state, federal offices and banks: Closed. 
Retail stores and supermarkets: Open at owner's discretion. 
Liquor stores: Open at owner's discretion. 
Post offices: Closed, no mail delivery.
Convenience stores: Open at owner's discretion.  
Bars and restaurants: Open at owner's discretion. 
Cinemas: See what's playing.
Libraries and schools: Closed.
Stock market: Closed.
Ryan Family Amusements: Open.
CCRTA: No DART service.
Steamship Authority: Friday schedule: Last boat from Woods Hole 9:45 p.m.

It's back to business Thursday for most Falmouth residents, workers, and students returning to public school after December recess.
