What's Open, Closed on Christmas in Falmouth?

Cinemas are open, but most other Falmouth-area businesses will be closed on Christmas and Stop & Shop is closing early Christmas Eve.

  • Municipal, state, federal offices and banks: Closed. 
  • Retail stores and supermarkets: Closed. Stop & Shop closes at 6 p.m. Christmas Eve and reopens Dec. 26.
  • Liquor stores: Closed. 
  • Post offices: Closed, no mail delivery.
  • Convenience stores: Open at owner's discretion.  
  • Bars and restaurants: Open at owner's discretion. 
  • Cinemas: See what's playing.
  • Libraries and schools: Closed.
  • Gyms: Closed or reduced hours. 
  • Stock market: Closed.
  • Ryan Family Amusements: Closed.
  • CCRTA: No buses.
  • Steamship Authority: Friday schedule: Last boat from Woods Hole 9:45 p.m.
Most businesses will reopen Thursday. Students return to school Jan. 2.
