A Defining Flaw: Falmouth Selectmen Flounder

Chairman Putnam, at last night’s Town Meeting, made what appears a reasonable plea for patience regarding the town’s wind turbine debacle.  Sadly however, he and selectmen do not appreciate the gravity of the situation when their plead for patience comes so closely after the town breaks it's word with residents and Barnstable Superior Court.

The agreement to re-implement the 12 hours on and 12 hours off wind turbine operating protocol, as explained by the Judge, was the start of Falmouth’s long over-due opportunity to conduct meaningful dialogue.  Mr. Putnam’s board seems sensitive only to meaningful dialogue with state paymasters.  The board's good faith bargaining standard during this wind turbine buffoonery, has become frightfully tied, and some might even say enslaved, to state $$.

The Board of Selectmen, by virtue of their own deeds: broken trust, misrepresentations and deceit, should be censured from entering into further turbine commitments.  It’s become clear. selectmen have abdicated their ability to lead and no longer exercise the integrity required to make objective and non-partial determinations.

Mr. Putnam’s ‘patience’ appeal to Town Meeting is pure, unabashed political rhetoric.  The very tenants of law and order are being asked to compromise...  Certain cause is given for public outcry -  Have you no decency, Sir?
