WIND BUDGET BULLETS

Now...

- FY2015 budget includes a total of $176,859 in wind turbine expenses necessarily supported by General Fund Revenue.

- wind energy receipts will no longer support operating expenses of the wind turbines.

- The (Barnstable Superior) Court Order is anticipated to decrease wind turbine annual operating revenues to the taxpayer by $250,000 - $280,000.

- Operating the two Town wind turbines will require ever-increasing subsidies from the General Fund.

& ...Then

- As planned, the project is economically viable and is projected to generate between 100 and 300,000 dollars a year.  That’s after all costs, including debt.  It’s a good project.

- The Falmouth Wind Turbine Two, the economics are comparable to the first.

- At the end of the 20 year useful life, the estimated net present value of the facility is $2.5 million, based on the numbers that we’re using, which we think are conservative.

FYI

The Town's projected wind turbine program 20 year DEFICIT =

$ 6,296,673.00
