The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center has admitted the building of commercial megawatt wind turbines near residential homes was done " Ad Hoc " up until 2013 and now looks at setbacks to residential at 2000 feet and possibly farther in 2014. A catastrophic error which involves thousands of certified written complaints.

The commercial wind turbines in Falmouth and Fairhaven have been found out of state noise compliance regulations by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. The Massachusetts Superior Court system has shut down the Falmouth wind turbines during sleeping hours and Sunday. There are 19 Massachusetts communities complaining about noise, shadow flicker, health and lack of sleep and losing constitutional residential property rights through the illegal takings of property.

Litigation has mushroomed over the poor placement of the commercial wind turbine.

The National Association of Realtors and the Massachusetts Association of Realtors should have to disclose to buyers and sellers the location of commercial megawatt wind turbines within 3000 feet of residential homes.

Real estate agents and legal experts have for years said " Buyer Beware."

All commercial and residential agents and broker need to aware in many cases the commercial wind turbines are breaking state noise laws and are operating illegally. A crime is being committed. Are real estate companies, banks and insurance companies now going to contribute to breaking state noise regulations and get involved in the nuisance litigations ?

Today real estate agents/brokers face a potential conflict of interest when leaving out the fact many homes in Massachusetts are in these areas where thousands of people have complained over the poor placement of turbines in at least 19 Massachusetts communities. Listing agents should have to disclose wind turbine information of face future litigation over disclosure failures.

How much longer can the Massachusetts real estate industry keep their heads buried in the sand ?

INSURANCE

Home buyers near these commercial megawatt 70 ton turbines with 7 ton blades face future insurance increases as more accidents and fires occur with these older gear driven wind turbines.

A wind turbine accident in Altona, New York had parts that flew as far as 2000 feet according to air plane pilots.

How much longer will banks, credit unions and mortgage companies lend on properties that will decrease 22 to 27 percent after the poor placement of these commercial wind turbines.

Massachusetts houses near wind turbines stay on the market longer and sell for far less than comparable homes away from the turbines. Many homes were taken off the market as the home owners couldn't get what they owe on their loans.

Massachusetts Failed Renewable Energy Policy

Since Governor Patrick took office one billion dollars has been spent over eight years on renewable energy projects including 785 million in American Recovery and Reinvestment Act, ARRA, stimulus funds. The renewable energy projects have massive multimillion dollar failures, Evergreen Solar, Auto battery company and catastrophic poor siting of commercial wind turbines in residential neighborhoods with ongoing litigation all over Massachusetts. Much of the stimulus money was loaned to towns to build wind turbines such as the Falmouth Wind II turbine at nearly 6 million for just one out of compliance turbine.

Governor Patrick has an "Agenda " for 2000 megawatts of renewable energy by the year 2020. The Massachusetts Democratic Party Platform under "Climate Crisis" calls for an actual war on fossil fuels.
