THE CAPE COD COMMISSION: OUR OVERSEER?

According to the textbook, "Regional Planning for a Sustainable America: How Creative Programs are Promoting Prosperity and Saving the Environment"

It forthrightly states: "The Cape Cod Commission exercises its jurisdiction over the entire Cape Cod peninsula. The Commission oversees growth management for a distinct geographic area that crosses fifteen municipalities in what is elsewhere a rigorous home-rule state."

Though initially providing some lucidly clear notions about the true rigidly dictatorial nature of the CCC, the book then continues in its propaganda-like description of the Cape Cod Commission by extolling: "...the Commission is focused on bringing about denser, more efficient use of the land it has, improving transit resources and addressing a severe sewage waste treatment problem..."

If there were actually any truth to this later nonsense, then after 24 years in existence, the CCC would have solved our wastewater problems and alleviated our tortuous traffic congestion. Instead, it is directly responsible for making everything worse!
