Falmouth Admits Energy Failure

How much on Energy ? Millions ?
How much on Energy ? Millions ?
Town of Falmouth Admits Energy Failure ? One Towns Dirty Little Secret   The Falmouth Energy Committee back in the year 2001 was responsible & charged with providing information to the Falmouth Select Board and Local Planning Committee on the total cost of energy by the Town of Falmouth. The Falmouth Select Board would announce the total amount spent on energy for the year to the taxpayers and the public. We do know that back in 2001 the total cost of energy for that year was $1,903,211.00. So let's just call it 2 million for just one year. Here is the link to 2001 : http://www.falmouthmass.us/planning/Element%204.4.pdf   Falmouth, Massachusetts is ground zero for poor siting of commercial wind turbines, major health issues and a financial fiasco involving a town that just couldn't shoot straight over Green Energy from the beginning. The other question is if the state took advantage of the town in its quest for the state renewable energy goal of 2000 megawatts of renewable energy by the year 2020.   Since 2001 the Town of Falmouth has spent in round figures around 14 million installing and purchasing two commercial wind turbines. There are those that will argues the town received millions in renewable energy credits and stimulus funds but all those funds may have to be repaid in the future. It would be fair to say that the town has averaged spending at least a million dollars a year on commercial wind turbines alone. That's about one half the total energy from 2001 every year for the last 14 years. Not a very good investment and your not going to hear anyone talk about it because it's embarrassing to town officials.   Today Falmouth taxpayer are faced with a dirty little secret. How much is the total yearly cost of energy for the entire town today ? Let's take for example the year 2012 . How much was the total cost of energy for the Town of Falmouth ? Where are the facts and figures from the Falmouth Energy Committee ? . The costs should include deprecation of the commercial wind turbine investments and the total cost of energy to the taxpayers of Falmouth.   Folks it's time to get down to Brass Tacks. Ask the Select Board &  Falmouth Energy Committee : We know in 2001 our entire energy bill for the town was 2 million dollars including the wind turbines how much was spent on energy in 2012 . This is a simple question. The total amount spent on all energy in 2012. The question needs to be answered without obfuscation. It's time to tell people what they don't want to hear. The Town of Falmouth energy policy is a failure. The town would have been better off without the wind turbines.   End the dirty little secret and tell the truth ! People need to hear the truth not another spin.

Dear Select Board , Was buying two commercial megawatt wind turbines a good deal for Falmouth ? What was the total cost of energy for the Town of Falmouth in 2012 ? Looking back to 2001 until today was buying 14 millions dollars worth of commercial wind turbines a good idea ? How would the Select Board rate its energy policy and what they pay for energy to a similar town without wind turbines ? Waiting for answers ........waiting ...waiting

Is anyone else wondering why Frank Haggerty of Mattapoisett, who posts as Bill Carson, is obsessed with Falmouth's wind turbines? What is his motive?

The answer is NO! - It's a free country. This is a public forum on the World Wide Web. Anyone in the world is invited to comment using a time honored anonymous practice started in the first democratic states of ancient Greece, permitting participants to voice opinion without fear of retaliation. A practice apparently you choose to disrespect. - Since you apparently live in Woods Hole, far away from the turbine noise, what is your obsession with proving that those living under the blades are crazy? - Oh! I know. You want to save the world from Global Warming, and sacrificing a few neighbors in the process is OK, as long as you and yours are not among them. - Global Warming is a world wide problem, and folks living in Mattapoisett have as much say as those who live in Woods Hole.
