Massachusetts Admits Wind Turbine Siting Mistakes

Mass CEC admits mistake siting wind turbines.   The State of Michigan Court has ordered a utility to address wind turbine noise problems. The residents of Mason County near the wind turbines are complaining about health issues. The accounts of poor wind turbine siting now has National implications. Citizens nationwide are losing their health over the poor siting of wind turbines.   The siting of wind turbines has become a key source of tension between the Falmouth abutters to commercial wind turbines and the majority of Falmouth residents who say the abutters must lose their health and property rights with NO compensation.   The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center admits it made catastrophic mistakes siting wind turbines too close to residential homes. The Massachusetts Clean Energy Center aka Massachusetts Technology Collaborative sold two Vestas V-82 commercial 1.65 megawatt turbines to Falmouth. One to the Town of Falmouth and the other to Notus Clean Energy a private company.   In May of 2013 Nils Bolgen the program director of the Mass Clean Energy Center admitted the agency has changed its residential setbacks to commercial wind turbines to 2000 feet.   The program director used the term "Ad Hoc" when describing the way the Falmouth and Fairhaven wind turbines were installed. The term "Ad Hoc" means the turbines were installed with inadequate planning with makeshift solutions.   The wind and noise studies done for local towns in SE Massachusetts and Cape Cod & Islands from 2005 until 2013 were all different. A study done prior to the Falmouth wind study by the Mass Clean Energy Center describes two distinct types of noise regulatory and nuisance noise. The reference to the nuisance sound or human annoyance sound being dropped for the Falmouth wind turbines has never been explained.   It's obvious that the Mass Clean Energy Center aka the Massachusetts Technology Collaborative was stuck with two politically embarrassing commercial Vestas V 82 commercial 1.65 megawatt wind turbines worth 5.2 million dollars and put the need to sell the turbines they were stuck with over the safety and health of the residents living around the turbines.   The Mass Clean Energy Center was the owner and brokers of the Falmouth wind turbines.   Today Falmouth Massachusetts is ground zero for poorly placed commercial wind turbines because of failure to do " Due Diligence "       http://www.southcoasttoday.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20130526/NEWS/305260341
