PLACES IN FALMOUTH TO WALK DOGS

New residents (and ones who have been here awhile) may not be aware of places that they can walk their dogs.  Here's a listing of a few (please add if you know of more):  The Knob, Chappy Beach (off season), Wing Pond, Beebe Woods, Peterson Farm, Bourne Farm, Crane Wildlife, John Parker cranberry bogs, Carriage Shop Rd/Old Barnstable Rd bogs (private owners but dogs are allowed except during harvest), Roderick parcel at end of Old Waquoit Rd, Crane Wildlife including area off Hayway Rd, Goodwill Park/Long Pond, Woodbriar/Atria conservation area, Riverbend and the one across the street who's name I can't remember, Sousa parcel on Coonamessett Pond and, of course, our wonderful Dog Park on Brick Kiln Rd.  Please be aware of Falmouth's leash law, but remember that, if dogs are off-leash, they must be under voice control.  Also please be aware of hunting seasons (both you and your dog should wear orange) and that you might see coyotes (or other wildlife), and you definitely will pick up ticks.
Enjoy your walks.
