Noticeably absent from the state hearing before the Telecomm, Utilities and Energy Committee Tuesday was anyone from Town Administration. Before the Committee was a bill to afford financial assistance to municipalities from the Commonwealth suffering adverse effect from wind turbines. In Jan Mr. Suso told FINCOM “This net drain on the town’s general fund is not sustainable.” “If they don’t run (as originally intended), then it will mean taxpayers will be asked to reach into their pockets.” It’s obvious this mistake has become, and will remain a finacial burden to taxpayers. Begging the question, with the absence of official town representation what message is sent to Falmouth Taxpayers given the opportunity for state $ aid? Suck it up, you voted for it, now pay for it?
