Cape League Deputy Commission Dies in Roofing Accident

James McNally, a Sandwich resident and the deputy commissioner with the Cape Cod Baseball League, died in a roofing accident Thursday morning, the Associated Press reported.

Fire department officials said McNally, 61, fell about 35 or 40 feet from a roof while on the job. The man was taken to the Cape Cod Hospital, where he later died.

It was "a sad day for the Cape League family," league spokesman John Garner told the Cape Cod Times.
