East Falmouth Woman Hospitalized After Hit-and-Run Crash

Falmouth police seek the public's help in identifying the suspect vehicle -- a newer model white GMC pickup truck that should have heavy front-end damage and is missing a left front wheel.

Falmouth police are searching for a newer model white GMC pickup truck that was allegedly involved in a hit-and-run crash Saturday night that sent a local woman to the hospital with injuries.

Officers responded to a crash around 8:53 p.m. at the intersection Route 151 and Currier Road.

Police say a 45-year-old East Falmouth woman who was driving a 1993 Toyota Camry was transported to Falmouth Hospital with injuries.

Police said witnesses and other evidence indicate the suspect vehicle (possibly a 2013 GMC) had heavy front-end damage and was also missing a left front wheel. The vehicle was last seen in the area of Route 28A and Route 151.

The accident is still under investigation. Anyone with information on the suspect vehicle or the crash is urged to contact Officer Keith Benediti at 508-457-2527.
