Falmouth Police: Children Taken to Hospital After Truck Forces Bus off Road

"The children on the bus, students at the Mullen Hall Elementary School, were taken to the Falmouth Hospital via ambulance for evaluation," Falmouth police announced Tuesday morning. No serious injuries were reported.

The Falmouth Police Department issued the following announcement at 11:22 a.m. Tuesday:

On 10/29/13 at 9:00 AM members of the Falmouth Police Department, Falmouth Fire Department and Massachusetts State Police responded to Thomas Landers Rd in the area of Technology Park for a report of a motor vehicle crash involving a school bus. 

The school bus driver reported that an unknown white box truck drove into the lane of the school bus causing the bus driver to take evasive action to avoid a collision.  The school bus swerved, left the roadway and struck a utility pole.

The children on the bus, students at the Mullen Hall Elementary School, were taken to the Falmouth Hospital via ambulance for evaluation.  There were no serious injuries reported at the scene.

This crash remains under investigation by the Falmouth Police Department.  Anyone with information regarding the unidentified white box truck and its operator are urged to contact the Falmouth Police Department at (508) 457-2527.
