Kayaker, 21, Mourned After Body Washes Ashore in Woods Hole
The 12-day search for Dana Dourdeville of Marion began when he failed to return from a duckhunting paddle Dec. 31 and ended with the discovery of his body on Penzance Point Sunday, WBSM reports.
The search for Marion kayaker Dana Dourdeville was called off Sunday after a body washed ashore in Woods Hole.
"I do not want to tell everyone this way but Dana has been found and has passed," reads a status update from the Search for Dana Facebook page posted Sunday afternoon.
Falmouth police said they received word from the Massachusetts Environmental Police at 2:30 p.m. Sunday that a person had washed ashore in Woods Hole.

Responders from the Falmouth Police Department and the Falmouth Fire & Rescue Department confirmed the victim was deceased, police said.
Dourdeville, 21, had been missing since he went duckhunting in his kayak from West island Dec. 31, according to WBSM, which reports his body was found on Penzance Point in Woods Hole.
