On Sunday evening, divers found the body of East Falmouth man Dwayne Morris who drowned in Ashumet Pond on Saturday evening, the Cape Cod Times reported.

The body was located around 6 p.m., according to a Massachusetts state police press release, using sonar systems and other methods.

According to state police, the man was trying to save another drowning swimmer when he, himself, drowned.

The man has not yet been identified by officials, the Times wrote.

Family and friends of the man at the scene declined to comment when approached by a Times reporter.
