Pedestrian Struck In Crosswalk, Transported to Boston Hospital

Police report that charges could be pending in accident, which remains under investigation.

A pedestrian attempting to cross Main Street in a crosswalk Sunday morning was struck and seriously injured by a motorist who is potentially facing charges over the incident.

A report from Falmouth Police said that the incident occurred around 7:50 a.m. in front of St. Patrick’s Church, with a 2004 Grey Toyota Avalon heading east. The pedestrian reportedly suffered significant head trauma and was transported to a Boston hospital via Med Flight.

Police indicated that the crash remains under investigation and that charges may be pending. Names of the operator and the pedestrian were not released as of Sunday morning.
