Stabbing Crime Scene Cleared, Manhunt Continues

Police tape was cleared, blood was cleaned up and only one patrol car was driving down Homestead Lane as of 2:45 p.m., but the search is ongoing for the 17-year old suspected in Wednesday morning's stabbing.

The suspect has been identified as Gregory Harris, 17, of Falmouth, according to police officials. He is considered a danger to the public, police said, and anyone with information on his location should report to the Falmouth Police Department at 508-457-2526.

Police responded to the neighorhood around 4:48 a.m. Wednesday morning after receiving multiple reports of a disturbance. Upon arrival, they located the victim, who had allegedly sustained several stab wounds and was "behaving erratically, assaultive and covered in blood."

Neighbors said the victim was going from door to door seeking help after being stabbed. Early Wednesday morning, there was a trail of blood around the street and on doors, cars and porches, the Cape Cod Times reported.

The victim has not been identified by police and was transported to a Boston-area hospital for his wounds.

According to the Cape Cod Times, this is not the first time there has been violence reported on Homestead Lane.

"In 2012, police arrested a juvenile at the house who was allegedly present during a deadly shooting on Broken Bow Lane," the Times wrote.

Two years earlier at the same address, a Fall River man was stabbed at a Halloween party that got out of hand.

In 2011, a different residence on Homestead Lane was the scene of a drive-by shooting. In 2006, there was another shooting on the street, prompting residents to call for a stronger police presence.
