Woman Killed in Car Accident
A 48-year-old female died as a result of injuries sustained in a crash Saturday.
A 48-year-old female was killed as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle crash Saturday evening.
At approximately 4:41 pm, emergency personnel responded to a report of a crash at 32 West Falmouth Highway. Jennifer Thomas, 48, of Billerica and Lincoln was operating a 1995 Saturn northbound on West Falmouth Highway when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle traveling south. The southbound vehicle, a 2010 Dodge Avenger, was operated by Maruta Friedler, 74, of New York, NY.
Thomas was transported to Falmouth Hospital, where she died a short time later as a result of injuries sustained in the crash. Thomas' two passengers were also transported to Falmouth Hospital, and were later transferred to a Boston-area hospital.

Friedler was transported to Falmouth Hospital, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
A section of West Falmouth Highway was shut down as a result of the crash, and an investigation is ongoing. No charges have been filed at this time.
