UPDATED: Woods Hole Family's Home Unlivable After Fire
The two-story cape is uninhabitable.

A two-alarm fire Saturday morning in Woods Hole left a house uninhabitable and a family of four with no place to come home to after their winter ski trip.
Local innkeeper Beth Colt of the Woods Hole Inn has offered the owners, a couple with two children, free lodgings "while they figure things out," she said in an email to Patch Sunday morning.
Reported Jan. 25:
Firefighters arrived at the home at 323 Woods Hole Road at 9:05 a.m. and saw heavy flames coming from the roof line of the two-story cape, said Capt. Michael White.
Firefighters entered the cape and searched for occupants, the captain said. It turned out that the owners were away, skiing, he said.
The firefighters were ordered out of the house after a portion of the first floor gave way, the captain said. A firefighter's leg sank through the floor but he was uninjured.
Firefighters fought the fire from outside, bringing it under control at 9:37 a.m., the fire captain said.
The home is uninhabitable, he said. It sustained fire, smoke and water damage throughout.
The fire's cause and where it started remain under investigation though the cause did not appear to be suspicious, the fire captain said.
The fire was reported at 9:03 a.m. in a 911 call.
