The parking ban affects the area from Walden Ave. to the British Beer Company to include all metered spaces along Grand Ave and those at the south end of the Heights Ball Field. This area will be posted as a “Tow Zone” and vehicles will be towed after 5:00pm.

In an attempt to alleviate traffic congestion as a result of the heavy volume created by the annual July 4 Fireworks Display, the Falmouth Police Department has devised a traffic plan for vehicles exiting the Falmouth Heights area. It is anticipated that this plan will be utilized for 15 minutes but may be extended as needed.

This plan will temporarily disrupt traffic attempting to enter the Teaticket and Main St area from all directions as traffic is allowed to exit the Falmouth Heights area.  All motorists are advised to plan their route in advance.

Maravista Ave. – Traffic traveling northerly on Maravista Ave. will not be allowed to turn west on Randolph St. or Maravista Ave (east/west section) and must continue north to Maravista Ave Ext. and turn right on Teaticket Hwy (Rte28) or straight to Homestead Lane. No left turn (west bound) will be allowed from Maravista Ave Ext to Teaticket Hwy.

Worcester Ct. – Traffic traveling northerly on Worcester Ct. will not be allowed to turn left or right on Spring Bars Rd and must continue to the intersection with Jones Rd and Teaticket Hwy.  At the intersection, no left turn south on Davis Straits is allowed. Traffic must go straight to Jones Rd or right to Teaticket Hwy.

Teaticket Hwy – Traffic traveling northerly on Teaticket Hwy between Jones Rd and Sandwich Rd will be directed up Sandwich Rd. No through traffic will be allowed on Teaticket Hwy between Sandwich Rd.

Falmouth Heights Rd. - All traffic traveling northerly on Falmouth Heights Rd. must turn left on Main St.

Additionally, the intersections at Jones Rd. & Gifford St., Main St. & Gifford St. and Palmer Ave. and Ter Heun will be controlled by officers to alleviate congestion.
